5 Minute Chocolate Cake ( Let it cool in dish or serve hot with custard. )

  • 175g/6oz sugar
  • 110ml/4 fluid oz boiling water
  • 25g/1oz cocoa powder
  • 55ml/2 fluid oz veg oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 55ml/2 fluid oz milk
  • 175g/6oz self raising flour

Put the cocoa into a small bowl or cup and pour on the boiling water, mix well.
Microwave on high for 30 seconds and then stir well.

Put the flour and sugar into a bowl. Add the cocoa mixture, milk, oil and egg. Mix well.

Pour the batter into pour into a greased 8", deep microwave-proof dish. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. If it doesn't look cooked, microwave for a further minute.
